    Finance Data Scientist

    Role Purpose 

    • The Finance Data Analyst / Scientist plays a central role in transforming how Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams leverage data to drive decision making. This hybrid position blends deep financial expertise with advanced analytics, data modelling, and visualisation/presentation capabilities. The role supports both structured reporting and highly analytical, ad hoc problem solving, ensuring that the organisation has accurate, trusted, and forward-looking insight.     • The role will collaborate closely with FP&A, Finance, Data Engineering, Data Product Manager, HR/Reward teams, Sales Ops, Senior Business Leaders and other business partners. A key focus is to modernise financial reporting, streamline forecasting, and build scalable analytical products that enhance business understanding. This role is critical in bridging Finance with Technology and Data teams, ensuring that financial logic, controls, and definitions are correctly embedded in data products and reporting systems. The role requires a confident presenter able to communicate, collaborate and gain buy in across a wide variety of stakeholders. 

    Key Responsibilities 

    Financial & Business Insight 

    • Deliver advanced financial analysis, modelling, and scenario planning. 
    • Support FP&A cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews. 
    • Translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations for senior leadership. 
    • Provide insight across revenue, cost, margin, headcount, and operational KPIs. 
    • Support people analysis to ensure we understand our cost base and are able to report/forecast/scenario plan efficiently to a high standard. 
    • Advanced Analytics & Data Science 
    • Support the building of predictive, statistical, and machine learning models to support forecasting and performance analysis. 
    • Use techniques such as regression modelling, clustering, forecasting algorithms, anomaly detection, and classification. 
    • Work with large datasets across Finance, Operations, Commercial, and People/Reward functions. 
    • Apply analytical thinking to solve ad hoc and strategic business challenges. 
    • Data Visualisation & Automation 
    • Develop robust Power BI dashboards using Power Query, DAX, and strong data modelling practices. 
    • Enhance and maintain existing dashboards including financial performance, workforce planning, sales compensation, and operations insight. 
    • Build automated data refresh processes and reporting pipelines. 
    • Translate business requirements into intuitive, high impact dashboards. 
    • Data Interpretation, Mapping & Governance 
    • Validate and map data from core systems including Dynamics 365 Finance, Salesforce, and SaaS billing platforms. 
    • Own and maintain finance KPI definitions, ensuring alignment across reporting tools. 
    • Embed reconciliation logic, audit requirements, and financial controls within data pipelines. 
    • Work closely with Data Engineering to ensure models are scalable, well documented, and governed. 
    • Ad Hoc Projects & Cross Functional PartneringFunctional Partnering 
    • Lead and manage analytical projects spanning FP&A, Commercial, Ops, HR/Reward, and Tech. 
    • Support the business with modelling for compensation, sales commissions, workforce analytics, bonus modelling, and scenario analysis. 
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine project objectives, timelines, and deliverables. 
    • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual modelling cycles (e.g., bonus files, salary review models, workforce dashboards). 
    • Contribution to Data Strategy 
    • Champion the evolution of finance data architecture and reporting standards. 
    • Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency. 
    • Promote data literacy within Finance and the wider business. 
    • Collaborate with the Data Product Manager to define data requirements and analytics priorities. 

    Key Skills & Experience 

    • Finance Expertise 
    • ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified or part qualified strongly preferred. 
    • Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, cost/margin analysis, financial controls, and monthend processes. 
    • Experience in FP&A, commercial finance, operational analytics, or similar finance roles. 
    • Experience in producing dashboards & recommendation-led analysis covering people data/analytics including variable compensation (bonuses/commissions/annual pay reviews) 

    Technical & Analytical Skills 

    • Advanced Power BI skills including DAX, Power Query, Mlanguage, and data modelling. 
    • Degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or similar. 
    • Certifications in analytics, Power BI, SQL, Python, AI/ML, or cloud data platforms are an advantage. 
    • Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data. 
    • Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis, modelling, and automation. 
    • Familiarity with data lakehouse environments and modern cloud-based data platforms. 
    • Ability to convert business rules and finance logic into structured data models. 
    • Comfort working with APIs, large datasets, and multiple system integrations. 
    • Strong PPT/reporting skills and extensive experience in presenting dynamically to senior company leadership level. 
    • Proactive in using, testing and benefiting from AI both in terms of efficiency, but also proactive analysis/improvements to support business growth. 
    • Data Science Capability 
    • Predictive modelling and machine learning experience. 
    • Familiarity with libraries such as scikitlearn, pandas, NumPy, or equivalent. 
    • Understanding of model evaluation, feature engineering, and algorithm selection. 

    Soft Skills 

    • Excellent communication skills – able to explain & present complex data clearly to nontechnical audiences and deliver the ‘so what’ to enable effective decision making. 
    • Strong project management, able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. 
    • High attention to detail and a logical, problem-solving mindset. 
    • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and collaborate effectively with cross functional partners.

    Procurement Manager

    About the role

    • The Procurement Manager role strengthens the organization's procurement capability by leading sourcing initiatives, supporting category strategies, improving supplier performance, and enhancing governance across spend tiers. Operating across 16 international offices and managing a broad portfolio of categories, including short‑tail and mid‑value spend, the Procurement Manager delivers measurable commercial value, ensures strong governance, and partners closely with business stakeholders and Legal. 
    • Reporting into the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Manager leads low‑ to mid‑complexity sourcing events, manages supplier performance, and supports data, reporting, and continuous improvement activities. In addition, the role provides structure and oversight to high‑volume short‑tail procurement to ensure efficient and compliant delivery. 

    What you'll do

    Strategic Sourcing & Category Leadership 

    • Lead end‑to‑end RFx processes for low‑ and mid‑complexity spend, including RFx design, supplier evaluation, and negotiation
    • Support development of category and mini‑category strategies, including consolidation, supplier rationalization, and cost‑efficiency opportunities
    • Run intake and renewals pipeline, ensuring 90/60/30‑day visibility and timely actions
    • Drive competitive tension across relevant categories and support supplier reviews

    Supplier Relationship & Performance Management 

    • Own day‑to‑day supplier relationships across short‑tail and mid‑value spend
    • Track SLAs, KPIs, and service performance; drive corrective actions and improvements
    • Monitor supply market trends and feed insights into category strategies
    • Lead renewal negotiations and restructure contracts to enhance value and reduce risk

    Contract Lifecycle & Governance 

    • Review standard contract terms and coordinate with Legal on higher‑risk agreements. 
    • Ensure full adherence to procurement governance, thresholds, and due‑diligence
    • Maintain accurate supplier and contract metadata across systems
    • Ensure obligations, renewals, and contract changes are recorded and actioned

    Commercials, Financials & Value Delivery 

    • Build comparison models and support savings, cost‑avoidance, and value reporting
    • Track budgets, forecast impacts, and ensure commercial recommendations are data‑driven
    • Strengthen negotiation planning and lead routine negotiation cycles

    Data, Insights & Reporting 

    • Build and maintain dashboards tracking cycle times, renewals, spend, savings, and compliance
    • Leverage insights to influence stakeholder decisions and prioritize procurement workload
    • Maintain supplier and contract data with high accuracy

    Process, Tools & Continuous Improvement 

    • Improve sourcing templates, evaluation frameworks, checklists, and intake processes

    Requirements
    What you'll bring

    • Proven experience managing end‑to‑end procurement processes, with strong commercial judgement and a clear risk and compliance mindset
    • 3+ years’ experience in procurement, vendor management, category management or contract administration, ideally in a global or multi‑office environment
    • Strong experience running RFQ and RFP processes, managing renewals and negotiating commercial contracts
    • Strategic thinking and category awareness, supported by solid financial acumen and a results‑focused approach
    • Good understanding of contract terms, including renewal mechanisms, liability, data protection, termination and exclusivity
    • Strong analytical and data skills, with experience using Excel or Sheets, Power BI or similar BI tools to build insights, reporting and commercial models
    • Strong relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across stakeholders and suppliers
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑volume environment, working with minimal supervision
    • Leadership, ownership and accountability, with a consistent focus on delivering measurable outcomes
    • CIPS Level 4 Diploma would be beneficial but not a must-have
