Job description

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, consolidation and financial analysis. Work Experience within big-4 preferable
• Strong Accounting / GAAP(IFRS) knowledge
• Experience in accounting systems i.e. Epicor, SAP Experience of financial reporting in African subsidiaries would be an advantage
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and Power Point)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assistance and preparation of monthly consolidation and executive financial packages
• Compilation of monthly financial packs (i.e. management, Exco),
• Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecasts and analyze and explain fluctuations
• Financial modelling and evaluation of profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed.
• Preparation of periodic operating reports
• Preparing treasury forecasts
• Assist with year-end e.g. assisting with drafting of financial statements, liaison with external auditors
• Reviewing Fixed Asset reconciliations and supporting the fixed asset administrator
• Ensuring all financial statements are drafted and signed off within specified periods – with specific reference to Africa
• Assisting with the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts
• Assisting with ad-hoc investigations, feasibility studies, tenders and acquisitions
• Update forecast files for approval by Finance Manager
• Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc investigations, reports and financial models as needed
