Our client, one of Southern Africa’s leading FMCG food companies has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned production operations professional to ensure that the manufacturing plant achieves operational best practice benchmarks in every facet of its operations including Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Logistics and Procurement.

Your acquired strategic leadership experience will enable you to effectively manage five departmental areas and a total staff compliment of more than 270 staff to take the operation to a new level and to ensure efficient general management. You will be required to develop and implement a proactive maintenance programme for machinery and equipment in coordination with the maintenance manager. Quality Management and Continuous Improvement are of key focus, so you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a Total Quality Management system throughout the plant.

Applicants must have a degree in Operations, Engineering or equivalent, coupled with at least 3 to 5 years senior Manufacturing Management experience within the Food industry. The plant is a 24 hour, 7 days a week operation so long hours and weekend work will often be required.
