Job description

Key Purpose:

We require someone who is highly experienced in configuring and managing a WSO2 stack, including API Manager, ID Server and all other components. The Ideal candidate is someone who has experience in automating service deployment across the stack. This person would need to be relatively senior, someone that can function independantly, who, if given somewhat vague requirements can fill in the gaps themselves without being micromanaged, but also without going off at a tangent and doing completely their own thing.

Skills Reqired:

• Strong programming skills in Core Java, Multi-Threading, OOPs concepts and JEE technologies.
• Experience of working with Java frameworks e.g. Spring/Hibernate and Spring MVC
• WSO2 stack experience (advantageous) mostly - ESB, API Gateway and ID server.​
• If no specific WSO2 experience preferably experience in other ESBs, API Gateways etc.
• Experience of designing and developing highly performant databases using:
• At least one of MySQL, PostgreSQL,
• At least one of MongoDB, Cassandra, applying the best database design practices
• Hands-on experience using any API integration framework such as WSO2, MuleSoft, Apigee
• API Design, Development Experience
• Experience with source control (e.g., GIT, MAVEN, VSS, Team Foundation)
• Backend integrations and experience API integration such as RESTful webservices, SOAP, queueing etc.

Developer background with some sysadmin experience.

• Experience of developing, Debug and Test SOAP/ REST web services.
• Strong debugging and problem solving skills across the whole tech stack e.g. programming language, databases, web server, system environment
• Experience of working in projects executed using Agile methodology and knowledge of working with any tools like Jira, Pivotal Tracker, Rally, Asana
• Build tools skills such as Maven, Gradle or Ant etc. are required
• Experience of effectively working with/integrating third party tools, APIs and systems
• Knowledge of system architecture and application components and how they work together to deliver end user requirements including user interface / presentation, business logic / middle layer, middleware / messaging / integration services and database.
• Swaggger UI
• Experience with Enterprise Integration Design Patterns
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
• Experience implementing security such as OAuth, Open ID, JWT tokens is preferred
• No-SQL database experience such as Mongo DB, Cassandra etc.

• Build, test and release new integration solutions and functional services for a specific business domain
• Work closely with Product Owner and the team to define work items, plan, estimate and sign-up for the delivery
• Manage own work priorities, deadlines and deliverables fulfilling your commitments to Product Owner and fellow team members
• Adhere to the quality standards and ensure your work is done to the highest possible quality.
