The Africa Liner Operations Cluster promotes individual autonomy and decision making. As a Marine Operator you will be responsible for executing efficient and effective operations at the lowest possible cost for all services and terminals under your scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely systems update of vessel activities within KPI deadlines.
• Ensure that Maersk Line delivers as promised to our customers by driving schedule reliability, port productivity, bunker optimisation, cost reduction and utilization.
• Coordinate and drive contingencies with other teams in the LOC.
• Drive and enforce contract compliance and performance management.
• Develop, monitor, improve, and benchmark operations processes through process confirmations and by participating in improvement projects.
• Align daily operations execution to the company’s overall operational strategies.

Marine operations is a 24-hour business, so the successful candidate will be required to work unusual hours from time to time.

In addition, the successful candidate may be required to work on a shift basis, therefore should be comfortable working all hours of the day (different shifts), on weekends, public holidays, and over celebratory periods, etc.

This position is available from 01 April 2017 to 30 September 2017.
