Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to assist in ensuring excellent brand service are met through efficient people management, merchandising, stock management, administration, operations and financial management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Responsible for but not limited to the following broad functions:

• Optimise and oversee retail operations to ensure efficiency
• Effectively dealing with customer queries and complaint
• Formulate fruitful business development strategies to ensure long-term success
• Lead a team of store managers towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals
• Undertake sound financial management to ensure stores are profitable and stay within budget
• Ensure compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines
• Evaluate performance using key metrics and address issues to improve it
• Ensure operations of the stores within the region are running optimally and adhered to and reporting to the National Ops Manager.
• Meeting sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to staff and managers.
• Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths for staff.
• Assist the regional recruitment needs and ensuring all stores are fully staffed.
• Be a shining example and of excellent behaviour and high performance

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as area manager or similar managerial role
• Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles
• Sound understanding of optimisation of store operations and standards for success
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
• Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• BSc/BA in business administration, retail management or similar field
