    Vice President : Operations

    Job description

    Your role

    • As a key position in a matrix organisation, the role focuses on collaboration and execution across the organisation. The position bridges between the Product Areas, Functional departments and the CEO’s office, assisting in the identification and resolving of cross-functional challenges in the organisation.
    • The successful incumbent must be hands-on, be able to dig into problems and drive customer delivery.
    • This position will not have any direct reports and is open to all Saab Employees.
    • Liaise with CEO, Deputy CEO and CFO to define and set out operations strategies and objectives for the organisation.
    • Interact and develop with the operational teams, a robust delivery model which enhances our operational delivery and contributes to profitable growth and minimises customer delivery failures
    • Secure overall effective execution towards key KPIs (quality, delivery precision, gross margins, milestones etc.)
    • Secure effectiveness of critical cross-functional operational processes.
    • Actively assess and implement measures to improve operations performance throughout the organisation
    • Secure effective interaction and collaboration between organizational entities within the matrix organisation
    • Foster a performance driven culture where best practices are shared and developed throughout the organization
    • Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company
    • Interact with department heads to review individual department annual and future plans, including sales or production goals.
    • Execute special projects as needed

    Your Skills, Experience And Qualifications

    • Minimum 15 years’ of demonstrated Operations experience including 10 years managing in an operations, manufacturing or related.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a complex project environment
    • Experience and proficiency with driving continuous improvement strategies
    • Ability to work and thrive in a matrix organisation with a focus on collaboration
    • Ability to balance operational priorities and commercial imperatives
    • Technical capacity
    • Leadership / Change leadership capacity
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Diversity and inclusion orientation
    • Project management
    • Systems thinker who is customer and results focused

    Qualifications

    The candidate should hold an appropriate Bachelor's degree or higher (e.g. Business management, Engineering, Science or related)
