    Regional Sales Manager

    Job description

    Education:

    Matric Certificate

    Experience:

    Minimum 2-5 years managing people and sales experience in similar industry.

    Qualifications and Experience Required:

    • People management experience
    • Sales and customer service experience.
    • Matric certificate.
    • Computer literate (Outlook, Word and Excel).
    • Fluent in English.

    Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

    • Setting of Monthly/Quarterly/Annual targets for each branch, each sales representative, product type, industry and geographic area.
    • Planning of sales activities. Weekly planning meeting each Friday with sales representatives going through calendar for the following week.
    • Managing pipelines (Customers & Prospects)
    • Manage and allocate prospects to sales representatives (incudes dormant accounts)
    • Managing and promoting product mix to ensure all product ranges are offered and sold to existing and prospective customers.
    • Managing and targeting customer (Industry) mix to ensure maximum exposure to all industries
    • Managing and targeting geographic areas to ensure maximum exposure to areas under branches derestriction.
    • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer and satisfaction.
    • Ensure sales activities are correctly entered into the CRM system by all salespersons daily and all information and pipelines constantly kept up-to-date. Ensure correct and constant use of the CRM system.
    • Compiling and sending the weekly activity summary for the branch to all branch staff and senior managers.
    • Plan and execute any company-wide sales/marketing initiatives at branch level (eg. Product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions, incentives etc)
    • Attend and present at key prospects and customers with sales representatives to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
    • Conduct training on relevant knowledge on products, services, applications, sales techniques and skills.
    • Ensure all quotes over a certain value are followed up by allocated external sales persons the following day. Lost order reports containing all quotes not ordered that month to be analysed during month end meeting and action plan to increase quote conversion rates going forward.
    • Monthly sales meeting with Sales Director going over current months results and planning for new month.
    • Monthly sales meeting with all external sales representatives going over current months results and planning for new month.
    • Weekly planning meeting with external sales representatives going over planned activities for the upcoming week.
    • Weekly meeting with operations manager to go over the week just passed and plan for the following week in terms of internal sales, logistics and admin.
    • Any other responsibility that is required
