Buyer (FMCG) at PEP

Job description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To source and maintain a range of FMCG products by ensuring that the commodities are acceptable to the Dealz consumer market. The products selected must contribute to the profit margin and price points of Dealz, in accordance to the departmental directive.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supplier management (sourcing & maintaining of suppliers, relationship buliding and service level management)
• Range building (Product sourcing & range development)
• Product determination
• Product order management (Administration)
• Budget management and OTB control
• Market research about target market and product wants

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification e.g. Degree or Diploma
• Computer Literacy (MS Office)
• FMCG buying experience advantageous
• Competencies required: Good communicator; Confident; Business Acument; Negotiation and influencing; Planning, organizing and control; Stress Tolerance; Building and maintaining relationships, Self motivator and a team player.
