Job Description
Purpose: To design and implement data pipelines and systems to enable clean and usable data to inform data science and analytics Technical Knowledge, Skills and Experience: In depth knowledge and understanding of: Worked in Data Engineer, Big Data or similar role in financial services industry Experience and knowledge in data governance, data management frameworks, BI and Warehouse design, metadata management, enterprise Information/Enterprise Application SOA, ETL, batch architecture and frameworks XML and related technologies Logical Database Design Statistical analysis and modelling Database architectures Hadoop technologies (e.g. MapReduce, Hive and Pig, Spark) SQL-based technologies (e.g. Oracle and MSSQL) NoSQL technologies (e.g. Cassandra and MongoDB) Data modelling tools (e.g. ERWin, Enterprise Architect and Visio)
Programming skills e.g. Python, C/C++ Java, Perl, MatLab, SAS, R Experience in Machine learning, Predictive modelling, NLP, text analysis, Data mining UNIX, Linux, Solaris and MS Windows Qualification: Relevant Degree Relevant certifications (TOGAF, CDMP, DMBOK and UML Modelling) would be preferred
