About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced software developer with a background in scalable web architectures and distributed systems. The position requires a driven, ambitious team player who enjoys a challenging, fast-paced environment.

As an Intermediate C# Developer at IRESS based in our Bryanston office, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining challenging solutions, mentoring junior developers and collaborate with agile team members.

IRESS offers successful candidates the chance to:

• Learn the inner workings of the stock market - how it works, what traders actually do and the technical building blocks that holds it all together behind the scenes.

   

• Gain experience in real-time software development and flexible and scalable software architectures. Develop back‑end API's, web services and data management functions.

   

• Explore concepts of multithreading, data persistence strategies, network communications, GUI building, component development, design patterns and many other aspects of object oriented software development.

   

• A chance to work with a professional, driven and energetic agile team

   

   

About you

• Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with Development, Product, Implementation, and Operations teams

   

• Must be able to work within a global organization that spans multiple time zones.

   

Required experience

• 3-5 years development in C#

   

• Multithreaded, Multi-tiered (3+ tiers) applications

   

• ASP.NET / MVC Web Applications

   

• SQL and relational database technologies

   

• A good understanding of JavaScript

   

The following will be beneficial in your application for this position:

• Existing financial markets knowledge

   

• IT Degree or Diploma

   

• An understanding of the FIX protocol

   

• Scrum
