    Network Specialist - Cisco

    Job description
    Purpose of the Job

    • To create and optimise the IT networking system for Capitec Bank.
    • Define Capitec Bank’s Network Strategy and Architecture
    • Design Network Solutions
    • Implement Network Designs
    • Ad-hoc operational support
    • Qualifications   
    • Grade 12 / Matric
    • A networking related qualification (eg. CCNA / CCNP)
    • A network security related qualification (eg. FCNSP / CCNA Security / CheckPoint)

    Experience   

    • 3+ years’ experience in the networking environment

    Knowledge and skills   

    • TCP/IP protocol stack
    • Firewall topologies and configurations
    • IPsec and SSL VPNs
    • Router and Switch configurations
    • Routing protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP and Policy Based Routing
    • Spanning-tree and VLAN configurations
    • Network redundancy, high-availability design and load balancing implementations

    Additional Requirements   

    • The incumbent will be required twork overtime from time-to-time.
    • Own vehicle and a valid drivers’ license will be required.
    • Willingness ttravel.
    • Clear credit record
    • Clear criminal record
