    Portfolio Manager

    Job Purpose   
    Group Five Intertoll invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Portfolio Manager. The successful candidate will identify, structure and develop core projects across the tolling spectrum and drive Intertoll Africa’s growth on the African continent by promoting its expanded services and product offering. The role encompasses building and actively managing Intertoll Africa’s client portfolio, developing technically sound, operationally robust and underwritten offers to prospective clients, creating brand equity and visibility, actively project-managing the interface with Group Five Engineering and Construction and managing risk and compliance.

    Qualifications   

    • BSc or BSc Engineering / CA/ CIMA / Project Management

    Experience   

    • 10+ years’ relevant experience within in a concessions and PPP environment cross border experience mandatory
    • Project Management
    • Businesses Development
    • Project Finance
    • Transportation, roads and tolling industry experience would be an advantage

    Duties & Responsibilities   

    • Participate in strategic planning and leadership at project level in line with Group Five strategy and goals.
    • Develop and agree project targets that are aligned to the Group strategy
    • Formulate, plan manage and implement bid/development plans for infrastructure delivery projects including new builds and maintenance
    • Develop and articulate technically, operationally and financially sound proposals for prospective clients to successfully translate opportunities into an actual project.
    • Drive the development of projects up to operational handover stage and commercial/financial close.
    • Prompt identification and remediation of tender project and contractual risk.
    • Internal and external stakeholder engagement and increased awareness of brand initiatives.
    • Define the funding and procurement strategy and contracting arrangements between the various stakeholders, as well as the nature of the contracts / agreements (i.e. whether implementing agents will be used, Public Private Partnerships etc)

    Skills and Knowledge   

    • Commercial Law
    • Comprehensive risk management skills encompassing the governance, risk and compliance landscape
    • Sound knowledge of contract structures and contract management and execution across the contract life-cycle
    • Good knowledge of concession contracts and project financing
    • Communication at various levels and influence up and down the line
    • Budgeting and Commercial knowledge

    Additional Information   

    • Must be conversant in French
    • Cross Boarder experience - Sub Saharan africa
    • Willing to travel and/or relocate into West Africa
