Sports Internship at Northwood School

Job Description

Applications are invited for aspiring Sports Teachers / Coaches to be part of our internship programme.
The successful applicants will be required to:

• Be already registered and committed to completing a qualification in sports management, coaching, fitness, strength and conditioning or teaching. (Proof of registration is required)
• Specialise in Cricket, Hockey, Rugby, Water Polo, Soccer, Basketball. Students with experience in two or more of these areas will be at an advantage.
• Be a person of integrity and enthusiasm, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Be fully computer literate.
• Be willing to participate fully in all school activities, including the academic and extra-mural programme, as well as school duties.
• Apply for and obtain a clearance certificate from the Sexual Offenders register.
• The contract is for 9 months only, renewable if requirements of the programme are met. The school will pay for all development and coaching courses it deems the candidate would benefit from as well as an allowance.
• Applicants must be enrolled with a distance / correspondence learning institution.
