The Role

An intermediate-level software developer is required to contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Impact Radius finance system. Ideally, you hold an interest in the finance/fin tech industry and endeavours to bring innovation in these areas to our platform.

As a member of the SCRUM team, you will form part of a self organising process where ownership will be taken for any task that needs to be completed to ensure continuous product success.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to continuous development and maintenance of features encompassing the Finance System
• You actively engage in all activities that improves system quality
• Assist in identifying, classifying and resolving bugs in various environments
• Desire to take ownership of domains within the system

• High quality work (features, bug fixes, data cleanups) delivered to production
• You display clear, effective communication

Requirements

• B.S. in CompSci or related field or equivalent professional experience. Excellent students in fields such as Mathematics and Physics, are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience with OO programming languages (Java) and concepts is essential
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, DOM and frameworks (jQuery, ExtJS, etc)
• Excellent SQL skills
• Familiarity with modern Agile principles and practices
• Familiarity with MVC (Model-View-Controller) frameworks and different view technologies (JSP, JSF, Velocity)
• IntelliJ / Eclipse
• Superb communication skills (verbal and written)
• Knowledge and experience of at least one scripting / programming language
• Exposure to finance or accounting domain would be beneficial
