    Manager Unbranded Channel

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The purpose of this role is to implement the CBU Sales and Distribution strategy in conjunction with all the unbranded channel partners and strategies while creating regional strategies aligned to business objectives.
    • The main KPI’s that need to be implemented and managed are channel economics linked to efficiencies. Net Sales Revenue being the overarching objective. The role is to act as a conduit into the rest of the business but not limited to i.e. Segment Marketing, Product and Services, Digital and Content and Financial Services. Deeper understanding of segmented marketing, strategy and business development as well as analytical and basic financial competence.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Brand representative: Be the face of the brand across all unbranded channels, ensuring a unified and compelling brand representation. Uphold and promote the brand values, messaging, and visual identity consistently within the unbranded branded channel.
    • Monitor competitor activity in the county and work with Marketing to develop and implement competitor activity plans to ensure the gap is closed.
    • Weekly and monthly management reporting and analysis of unbranded channel and competitor landscape
    • Through a team deliver and be responsible for market share intelligence, revenue and net promoter score for unbranded channels.
    • Operationalise the Sales, Business Development, People, Projects and General Management strategies. (Inform, customise and Execute comprehensive channel strategies to maximise brand exposure and
      engagement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align channel efforts with overall brand objectives)
    • Financial Service and Fixed Services, driving beyond mobile and relevant business objectives and customer experience in a county area as defined by Vodacom. (Vodacom products and services)
    • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key stakeholders internally, i.e. Channel, Retail Operations etc.; and externally, i.e. Government; Service Providers, sales partners such as wholesalers; to effectively implement county plans to drive revenue growth and beyond mobile in the region.     • Drive seamless customer experiences. Provide insight and feedback about the customer journey and processes across all Branded channels. Through a better understanding of customer pain points and be consistent in approach aligned with CX experience ambition of Vodacom. Spirit days/surveys in Branded channel
    • Implementation of the CBU and Channel Strategy will be required.
    • Drive customer take-up of Vodacom products and services the unbranded channel through effective proposition, campaign management and sales initiatives.
    • Design creative go-to-market approaches in collaboration with the regional marketing team, and ensure effective execution within timelines and budget
    • Ensure that all propositions and campaigns are executed on time and in full both regionally and HO aligned.
    • Ensure compliance with POPI, Health and Safety standards for staff and with external stakeholders.
    • Manage suppliers and OEMs within the channels
    • Collaborate on ensuring stock is managed (forecasting / stock deliverables / stock in trade and wastage) efficiencies.

    • Implement people transformation initiatives in third parties
    • Analyse, resolve and feedback on all regional customer issues
    • Protect and promote Vodacom products and comply with regulations like POPI and RICA etc.
    • Report on sales performance both internal and external. (EXCO, reviews, tracking and analysis, etc.) daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly.
    • Identify and provide leads for new business partners.
    • Customer acquisition and retention (Base and Inflow)
    • Constantly monitor competitor activity in the trade and create plans to mitigate as necessary.
    • Manage Field Marketing Agency relationship and execution, as well as alignment with regional priorities.
    • Provide insights for effective analysing for improvement of TNPS across Retail touchpoints and ENPS for the Region

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric – Essential
    • Degree / Diploma – Essential. (A 3 year Business Management /Sales / Commercial Diploma/Degree or SAQA Accredited Equivalent etc.)

    Transmission IP MPLS & Security Engineer

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To implement new IP\MPLS Transmission technologies.

    Managing Executive: Value Engineering and GTM

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • This critical leadership role is responsible for driving VB exponential growth through the end-to-end transformation of the Vodacom Business Internal and External Market Proposition and Strategy.
    • The focus will be on enabling consultative, value-based selling, enhancing Product and Solutions Go-To-Market Strategies, driving thought leadership, and delivering strategic campaigns and activation initiatives.     Executive Head: Enterprise Mobility & IoT Solutions

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The Executive Head: Enterprise Mobility & IoT Solutions is responsible for defining, commercialising, and scaling Vodacom’s Enterprise Mobility and IoT portfolio across all customer segments.
    • The role leads solution innovation across connected devices, smart utilities, IoT platforms, enterprise mobility management, and device lifecycle services.
    • This EHOD integrates fully into the Beyond Connectivity (BYC) operating model, collaborating with Enterprise Solution Architects (ESA) to shape opportunities and partnering with Product Solution Architects (PSA), CHAS (Cloud, Hosting, Applications & Security), and IoT infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
    • The role is accountable for revenue growth, customer penetration, solution profitability, execution of hunting strategies, and cross-portfolio convergence aligned to Vodacom’s ambition to become a Techco.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Strategy Formulation & Execution: 

    • Lead the development and execution of the Enterprise Mobility & IoT strategy, aligned to Beyond Connectivity and Vodacom’s ambition.
    • Drive solution innovation across IoT Solutions, asset intelligence, logistics, connected infrastructure, and workforce mobility.
    • Lead the Enterprise Mobility portfolio including UEM/MDM, rugged devices, mobile workforce enablement, and device lifecycle management.
    • Strengthen IoT security by defining secure device, network, and architecture frameworks in collaboration with CHAS Security.

    • Lead partner ecosystem development including IoT OEMs, device manufacturers, platform vendors, and systems integrators.
    • Drive commercial outcomes including pricing strategy, profitability management, solution bundling, and attach-rate growth.
    • Develop IoT-as-a-Service, Mobility-as-a-Service, and Device-as-a-Service offerings.

    Budget Management

    • Own and manage the IoT & Mobility portfolio budget, ensuring financial discipline, portfolio profitability, ROI-driven investment allocation, and optimisation of partner spend.
    • Maintain financial forecasts, while governing expenditure against approved budgets and investments. Continuously identify areas for improved efficiency and effectiveness
    • Review and authorize payments in line with approved budget and policy and submit for final processing 
    • Effectively manage the team and its objectives in line with approved budgets, report variances as required and recommend / implement remedial action within a span of control
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks and develop corrective action plans as needed
    • Ensure identification, implementation and development of processes to optimise cost efficiency

    Channel Development and Sales Revenue Growth: 

    • Drive IoT & Mobility revenue through Direct, Indirect, SME, Regions and Partner channels. Build vertical-specific GTM plays for Mining, Utilities, Transport, Public Sector, Retail, and Logistics. Increase attach rates across Cloud, Security, Mobility, and IoT products by integrating with ESA-led discovery and hunting motions.
    • Oversee and facilitate the annual line of business plans; sales cadence and pipeline management 
    • Partner with sales executives to set annual targets for the line of business according to the agreed business plan, remaining overall accountable for revenue, profitability and the delivery of this margin. 
    • Increase net sales revenue within each segment practice and channel for the line of business.  
    • Deliver profitable growth by actively managing costs through the sales, delivery and servicing product cycle 
    • Ensure service delivery translates into an above industry Net Promoters Score (NPS) standard. 
    • Evaluate the price performance of the line of business by developing a robust price monitoring plan and make corresponding price optimisation recommendations

    Stakeholder Management

    • Build collaborative partnerships and alliances for market success.
    • Manage and collaborate with Vodacom Business management and sales leadership to develop growth plans for the Business

    • To serve as Vodacom South Africa’s principal authority for RAN network strategy, optimisation, and performance evolution, accountable for defining, governing, and driving VSA’s multi‑technology (4G/5G/IoT/MOCN) RAN optimisation strategies.
    • The role provides expert-level technical leadership, shaping long‑term RAN architectural direction, baseline templates, feature governance, parameter frameworks, MOCN strategy, predictive AI/ML‑driven optimisation, and end‑to‑end performance excellence across the network.
    • The Manager leads three capability pillars: RAN Network Strategy, RAN Performance & Operations, and Automation & Data Intelligence ensuring cohesive execution of national RAN evolution plans, feature and parameter trials, optimisation frameworks, and data‑driven decision systems.
    • The role influences Vodacom and Vodafone Group standards, vendor roadmaps, and strategic technology direction with respect to features and parameters to ensure VSA retains market‑leading network performance and customer experience.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Lead VSA RAN Strategy, Evolution & Technical Governance: Own the end‑to‑end RAN strategic optimisation roadmap (4G, 5G/5G+,  IoT, MOCN), including baseline parameter template governance, feature strategy, long‑term feature planning, and alignment with Vodafone Group technology direction. Influence vendor feature roadmaps, standards, release validation, and strategic technology decisions, in relationship to key features meant to enhance customer experience.
    • Authority for National RAN Performance, Optimisation & Operations: Provide expert‑level leadership for daily/weekly network performance frameworks, OSS, Crowd & Drive test KPI performance improvement & RAN performance governance forums coupled with national execution across all VSA regions.Own high‑impact gap analyses, parameter governance, feature/parameter trials, automated RF optimisation and operations readiness reviews.
    • Drive AI/MLEnabled Automation, Data Intelligence & Predictive Operations: Accountable for the strategy and evolution of SON, ML‑driven RAN optimisation pipelines, predictive models, prescriptive analytics, data governance, and automation workflows enabling proactive strategic RAN network optimisation.
    • CrossFunctional and Vendor Technology Leadership: Primary strategic interface with vendors, Vodafone Group, engineering, assurance, regulatory teams, NMG, and regions to align RAN strategies, technical frameworks, architecture decisions, feature prioritisation, and optimisation campaigns. Ensure national alignment on RAN baseline standards, templates, releases, performance methodologies, and operational practices.
    • Expert Diagnostics, Innovation & Technical Leadership: Act as principal authority for complex RAN investigations, multi‑technology performance diagnostics, protocol analysis (3GPP AS/NAS), data‑driven insights, and identification of emerging risks/opportunities. Mentor technical teams, uplift engineering capability, and steer innovation initiatives, trials, and future network evolution programmes.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field (essential).
    • 8+ years of Telecommunications experience
    • Postgraduate qualification such as an MSc in Electrical Engineer or similar field preferred.
    • Professional certifications in in 5G, cloud, AI/ML, SON/automation, or data engineering advantageous.

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

    • Deep specialist expertise in LTE/NR RAN architecture, 3GPP AS/NAS protocols, RRM, MOCN, SON, AI-SON features & parameter frameworks, and multi‑vendor environments (at least 10years).
    • Proven capability in advanced data‑driven analytics, ML/AI frameworks, Python/R‑based analysis, predictive modelling, and automation enablement.
    • Strong strategic technology, parameter and feature planning proficiency, including long‑range RAN evolution, baseline governance, feature/parameter lifecycle management, and vendor roadmap shaping.
    • Demonstrated leadership in complex network investigations, optimisation methodologies, KPI frameworks, and performance governance.

    Manager: Customer Insights

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Function as consumer advocate to represent customer’s voice in business decisions. Manage customer insights development, regional market research projects across formal and informal tools, and data analysis across services and payment types.
    • Synthesize the results of projects into a deep understanding of customers and the market and use that knowledge to support product development, customer experience and customer value management initiatives within the Region.  

    Your responsibilities will include:

    CXX & Customer Insights: The primary objective is to use our customer insights to better manage & optimize our customer touchpoints to meet or exceed customer expectations, ultimately driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.

    • To provide high level support and   customer service to internal clients as per performance contract agreed
    • Drive the local implementation of the CARE and Customer Experience Excellence strategy developed by COPS into the region and counties.
    • To be responsible and accountable for interpreting and analyzing statistical reports based on channel feedback and propose action plans whilst maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
    • To drive improvements of all retail & customer touchpoints in the region including: NPS, TNPS, FTF /EFF, Average Waiting time, Qnomy, Pilots impacting CX e.g., Appointment booking| Peer to Peer program | Store ICU program.
    • To be the regional custodian for regional tracking studies incl. NPS / BMS / tNPS [and or any other analysis by condensing the data into monthly and quarterly insights reports].
    • Drive the local implementation of the customer experience strategy [incl. digital first strategy] developed by COPS into the region.
    • Gather and integrate customer insights requirements across the business to gain & develop a deep understanding of consumer target segments within Prepaid, Postpaid, FTTH and VFS to drive revenue growth for the region.
    • Manage research briefs for the region (both formal and informal) to build regional insights.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes to improve customer experience in the business.
    • Continuously review the escalation matrix for the different business channels in CBU Core to improve on the speed in resolving customer related issues.
    • Build relationships and engage with key stakeholders in the regions and at the centre to improve on customer journeys.
    • Drive the local implementation of the CARE and Customer Experience Excellence strategy developed by COPS into the region and counties.
    • Work with the Channel Managers and Branded/Unbranded Specialists in implementing CXX strategy and executing in-store elements.
    • Provide ongoing feedback to COPS for continuous improvements on CXX journey.
    • Analyse regional customer base in conjunction with CBU Core CVM team to provide insight and recommendations on trends or behaviour of base.

    Data Analyst: The primary purpose is to collaborate with the CVM team and central Commercial Management team to develop appropriate base management campaigns that drive growth and retention strategies.

    • Monitor regional performance across all key KPI’s to drive commercial actions to meet or outperform budget targets.
    • Drive an ethos of “scientific selling” by ensuring all business decisions are underpinned by sound analytical and consumer insights.
    • Influencing key organisational strategies by holding the various areas accountable for integration of insights and performance of associated actions/activities.
    • Analyse regional customer base in conjunction with the CVM team at the centre to provide insight and recommendations on trends or base behaviours.

    Product Lead: The primary purpose will be to collaborate with the teams at the CBU Core team during the product development process by gathering and prioritising product requirements based on customer needs and market trends.

    • To understand the development of postpaid, prepaid, FTTH, VFS propositions against a planned roadmap with clear consideration of regional customer needs.
    • To identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings that the core product teams can use as actionable insights to ensure timely, relevant, and high-quality product delivery.
    • To evaluate uptake of retail enablement, sales journeys as to ensure store consultants have effective sales tools to drive consideration & uptake on all new products & propositions. 
    • To support and provide feedback to the product teams for new product propositions, engage in cross-functional teamwork with product delivery teams to make sure we have the right sales tools.
    • To support the branded and unbranded channel teams ito leading proposition knowledge and training. That is to ensure that all customer facing staff are fully trained to accurately explain product features and benefits.
    • Manage post-implementation/launch reviews and recommend actions based on proposition performance.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • 5-8 years experience in a sales, retail and/or commercial / customer care environment
    • Relevant Sales or general business National Diploma (3 years) (NQF 6) or Degree (NQF 7) with a minimum of 2 years experience in a managerial capacity with staff responsibility
    • Must be willing to travel (must have a driver’s license), own vehicle.
