    Investment Data Analyst

    Job description

    The candidate would need to learn how to produce each of these deliverables by learning the tools required to:

    • Acquire information and data from Asset Managers and other data providers

    • Interact with managers telephonically or via email

    • Input, retrieve, update and delete information from electronic folders and files

    • Review, check, and verify inputted information, client fact sheets, incoming data feeds,  data bases, and other materials for accuracy and completeness

    • Manage data inputting and accuracy of this data

    • Populate information into Excel files, Word and PowerPoint documents

    • Keep client portfolio information up to date for analysis, reporting and valuation purposes.

    • Assist in ensuring prompt delivery of client reports and updates

    • Assist with document preparation for meetings with clients

    • Quality control of presentations

    • Deal with sensitive and confidential information

     

    Requirements, Qualifications and Experience

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
    • Ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
    • Ability to work both independently and on client teams
    • Ability to juggle several different projects concurrently and deliver on all of them
    • High energy individual looking for a dynamic growth-oriented environment
    • Quantitative Work Experience an advantage
    • An appropriate level of financial acumen
    • A recognised business diploma or higher, containing statistics
    • Highly computer literate and proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • An understanding of the South African Financial Industry and Markets
