Business Unit: Information Protection and Business Resilience

Location:Johannesburg

Purpose Of The Job

IPBR advises clients in assessing, designing, integrating and monitoring all aspects of their organisational security processes, ensuring that these processes are well defined, managed and optimised in order to mitigate information risk and release value from information security.

Critical Technical Skills Or Competencies

• Strong IT security and IT technical knowledge as well as working experiences in any of the following areas:
• Network security controls including firewall, router, IDS/IPS security configuration and security review.Operating system configuration and security review for any of various platforms: Mainframe, Windows NT/20XX, UNIX, iSeries, Oracle/SQL databases. Performing vulnerability assessments by using scanning tools. Penetration testing at both network and application level. Security audit tools available such as Nessus, Nmap, Accunetix, etc. Identity and access management solutions and implementation.
• Strong working knowledge of control and governance frameworks, including COBIT.
• Understanding of business security practices, security controls and risk management concepts.
• ISO/IEC 17799:2005 and ISO/IEC 27001:2005 concepts.
• PCI DSS concepts.
• Data privacy/data loss protection.
• Security architecture (using common frameworks such as TOGAF) knowledge.
• SIEM and event and incident management knowledge.
• Related certifications are a plus e.g., CISSP, CISA, CCNA, SANS, GIAC, MCSE, MCP, ISO27001 lead auditor, etc.

Qualifications And Experience

Bachelor or Master Degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS and any IT related fields.
Minimum 5 years of working experiences in IT security, IT technical background and / or industry knowledge. Prior working experiences in Big 4 companies is preferable.

• Strong in written and spoken English language.
• Relevant experience assisting with proposal development and presentations is an advantage.
