Role Purpose

Provide a trusted forward-looking view of risk that advances MMI's strategy and achieves the appropriate balance between risk and reward, while challenging business to manage risks better, thereby enhancing MMI's reputation with all stakeholders.

Requirements

• Post graduate degree in Law, Finance, Business, Risk Management or Compliance
• Registered with Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) (preferred)
• Registered with Institute of Compliance South Africa (ICSA) (preferred)
• 8-10 years' experience in business, finance, risk management or compliance within an insurance or financial services environment, specific to the health industry
• At least 3 years business management or risk or compliance experience at a senior management level
• Knowledge of health industry specific regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Own Risk and Solvency Assessment
• (ORSA) and Solvency Assessment and Management (SAM) practices and philosophy.
