    Senior Digital Strategist

    Job description

    Responsibilities:

    Your responsibilities will be

    • Research and Analysis
    • Understand the client and:
    • Identify advertising needs
    • Identifying potential problems and devising ways to rectify them
    • Examining clients’ businesses to get to know their brands and understand their objectives
    • Analyze web traffic metrics and suggest solutions to boost web presence
    • Research products, services and current strategies to identify new opportunities
    • Monitor SEO/SEM, marketing and sales performance metrics to forecast trend
    • Strategy Development
    • Researching and gathering data to develop well-informed strategic plans for clients which includes: new business pitch proposal and strategies for existing clients
    • Generating and brainstorming original and budget effective ideas with other members of the team and our specialists (SEO, PPC, Social,…) teams
    • Presenting findings to senior staff members, specialists, account teams and clients
    • Advising on best elements to be included within the proposed digital solution and define costings with the Account Management teams

    Trend Update

    • Establish best practices and case studies
    • Keeping up to date with all digital trends
    • Educate and train via workshop sessions the rest of the strategy team members, account manager and sales teams

    Strategy process improvement

    • Liaising with senior members to receive feedback and create improvements to the current strategy processes
    • Collaborate within the team to ensure ongoing development and improvement of the newly formed strategy department as a whole

    Requirements:
    We are looking for someone who has:

    • Digital Know-How
    • Has a huge passion for digital and an excellent knowledge of the digital landscape, trends and technology
    • Basic knowledge and experience in dealing with digital campaigns, campaign reporting, web design and development, email campaigns, SEO, Social media marketing, digital content creation, html, search/display and social advertising architecting and e-commerce
    • Hands on experience with online marketing tools and practices, especially in SEO, Social and PPC
    • Experience in programmatic advertising would be a plus

    General strategic skills

    • Has at least 3 years’ experience in in a strategic marketing role
    • Able to think out of the box
    • Is able to see how all the moving parts (design, brand, ppc, seo, content, web development, social media, industry insights,…) fit together
    • Is capable to connect the dots between the needs, wants, and desires of the clients
    • Mastery of basic marketing principles, such as target segmentation, category, value proposition, positioning, and brand strategy

    Analytical Skills

    • In-depth understanding of research and analysis tools like: Google Trends/Analytics/Keyword planner/Consumer Barometer, Answer the Public, social media monitoring tools (Social Bakers, Talkwalker,…) and many more

    Communication Skills

    • The ability to make complex subjects understandable
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ideally experience in dealing with international markets (our main target markets are Australia and Canada)
    • Willing to take over leadership position (for a new team within the strategy department) for our bigger accounts in the near future 

    Project Management Skills

    • The flexibility to work over a number of projects and balance your workload
    • Can show us their recent successes in digital account management, project management or strategy creation and experience in direct client communication

    Personal Skills/Attributes

    • Huge passion for web
    • Ability to collaborate
    • Problem solving
    • Delivery focused
    • Design thinker a big plus
