    Mapping Administrator

    Job Description

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Relevant qualification in the GIS field
    • Previous experience with any GIS system, e.g. MapIT and/or MapInfo
    • Must have in-depth experience working in Google Earth and other web based systems
    • Must be computer literate

    Key Accountabilities

    • Overall, the key function is to source, interpret and package data for the company’s varied divisions in South Africa & Africa, with the emphasis on the selling of the Outdoor medium and Continental Outdoor related products

    MAPPING

    • Source and maintain base data and maps that are pertinent to the company’s needs
    • Produce maps that are relevant to each client’s needs
    • Oversee and maintain the geocoding and GPS readings of the company’s outdoor holding
    • Produce GIS maps to support Sales proposals
    • Provide strategic analyses through MapInfo to gain geographical marketing insights
    • Support the Asset Management team by performing strategic situational maps and analyses
