Mapping Administrator

Job Description

Knowledge and Experience
- Relevant qualification in the GIS field
- Previous experience with any GIS system, e.g. MapIT and/or MapInfo
- Must have in-depth experience working in Google Earth and other web based systems
- Must be computer literate
Key Accountabilities
- Overall, the key function is to source, interpret and package data for the company’s varied divisions in South Africa & Africa, with the emphasis on the selling of the Outdoor medium and Continental Outdoor related products
MAPPING
- Source and maintain base data and maps that are pertinent to the company’s needs
- Produce maps that are relevant to each client’s needs
- Oversee and maintain the geocoding and GPS readings of the company’s outdoor holding
- Produce GIS maps to support Sales proposals
- Provide strategic analyses through MapInfo to gain geographical marketing insights
- Support the Asset Management team by performing strategic situational maps and analyses
