    Legal Contract Administrator

    Job Description

    A large ISP client of mine is currently seeking a Legal Contract Administrator to join the team on a permanent basis at their Head Office in Midrand.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide basic legal advice as required within our business, based on group legal policies and other policies and procedures as required.
    • Negotiate commercial and legal agreements with potential clients and suppliers, with the assistance of head office legal department and within the business requirements and guidelines
    • Ensure compliance with internal and group legal and commercial procedures and policies, including documentation management
    • Reviewing of all customer and supplier agreements and identify risk associated to this and negotiate the final version of the agreement with the head office legal assistance
    • Identify and minimize potential commercial risks with new or current agreements – supplier and customer
    • Draft, review and negotiate potential agreements with the assistance of head office legal
    • Ensure client satisfaction by adhering to turnaround times and ensuring speedy delivery of legal services
    • Co-ordinating of negotiations, meetings or teleconferences between all stakeholders during the negotiation phase of new agreements
    • Co-ordinating and record keeping of the process from the request to a new agreement, until finalised and signed
    • Attend workshops with clients and suppliers to enable head office legal to finalise agreements – as required
    • Ensure maintenance of contractual records and documentation;
    • Service Management - serving as the point of contact on contractual matters, and also facilitating the contractual process between the business division, the legal department and external party and ensuring timely review and approval
    • Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness;
    • Assist in contract close out process
    • Assisting and drafting agreements/documentation as required by a client to clarify products/solutions provided

    Requirements:

    • Basic SA legal understanding
    • Corporate structure understanding
    • 3 year+ in basic experience in contract management/interpretation
    • Ability to ‘project manage’ the agreement and legal process
    • Strong organisational skills
    • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
    • Ability to understand legal terms and communicate impact and explain the meaning (with assistance from head office legal)
    • Willingness to travel as per business requirements
    • Deadline driven
    • Able to work with other people
    • Self-starter and self-motivator

    Salary is dependent on level of skills, experience and certifications
