Description
Saratoga has an opportunity for an experienced problem-solver with in depth knowledge of System Analysis, Business Analysis and Quality Assurance to join the company as a Consultant.
The consultant will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Analyse data sources and draw up specifications for the data warehouse/ODS including but not limited to:
- Data profiling
- Database schema
- Conformed database models (star schemas)
- Database design
- ETL's
- Analyse business requirements and configure processes on commercial off-the-shelf solutions
- Assist in ongoing documentation of requirements and specification of implemented solution designs
- Assist with data purification and enrichment exercises
- Write test plans and assist / guide development of test cases
- Assist / guide acceptance testing
- Assist with development of reports, queries and extracts for business use
- Monitor and support implementations
Due to the company expanding nationally and into Africa and the Middle East, candidates must be willing to travel both locally, nationally and internationally if required, and have the ability to move between clients and the office when necessary
Requirements
Qualifications / Technical skills:
- IT related undergrad in B.Com IS or Honours in BBusSc IS / B.Com IS with a minimum of 5 years IT consulting experience.
Experience required:
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in database development, data modelling and business analysis in a consulting environment.
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in system set-up, configuration, implementation and support.
- Ability to complete required documentation including Technical Requirements, Change requests, ERD and DFD
- Good understanding of Relational Database design principles.
- Financial and insurance industry services domain experience is advantageous.

- Skilled in analytical tools and techniques as defined by IIBA or similar professional body.
- Preference to candidates that have completed or working towards the CCBA®/CBAP® Structured Study Programme.
