• Communicates and establishes critical requirements associated with the design and outlining requirements to technical personnel on the execution of tasks.
• Controls the outcomes associated with the assembly/preparation of base information and plans for the design form and developing concept plans.
• Co-ordinates the preparation of the Engineering Design proposal for basic complexity forms of interacting dimensions.
• Analyses and interprets the clients brief and interrogates legislation, regulations and other related factors requiring consideration during the design sequence.
• Presents the design concept to the client and provides detailed explanation of cost parameters.
• Co-ordinates sequences associated with the preparation collation of contract documentation and/or the evaluation of tender application.
• Controls the implementation of time, quality and cost of basic complexity engineering contracts.
• Disseminates information on the technical aspects of engineering design concepts and provides reports detailing interventions and outcomes.

• Provides advice/information and guidance on the principles, procedures and applications associated with basic or average complexity Engineering processes encapsulated in specific projects of a broadly defined nature.

• Controls the implementation/ outcomes associated with time, quality and cost of specific basic and average complexity Engineering contracts.
• Disseminates information on the professional and technical aspects of engineering design concepts and provides reports detailing interventions and outcomes.
• Preparing correspondence, reports and/ or verifying the content of reports prepared by Technical Personnel.

• Coordinates and guides sequences and procedures associated with the preparation and collation of contract documentation and or evaluating tender applications for average or complex forms of engineering works.
• Defines appropriate standards and controls the implementation/ outcomes of average complexity and complex forms of Engineering contracts.

Essential Requirements

CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST 36001442/36005354

• Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering Technology (NQF Level 7) in Civil Engineering.
• Registered as a Candidate Civil Engineering Technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) within 3 months of employment.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• 2 years relevant post qualification experience.

• Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering Technology (NQF Level 7) in Civil Engineering.
