    Digital Media Analyst/Manager

    Job description

    Excellent Candidates Will Have Experience And Knowledge Of

    This position is ideal a highly motivated individual who has an analytical mind, a passion for numbers, a proactive inclination, a natural problem-solver and a wizard with finding and presenting insights from data. You could have a good undergraduate degree or if you’ve taken an alternative route but you definitely have valuable and relevant experience in high-performance environments for the last 3 - 5 years.

    • Payments, point of sale and small business
    • Deep technical understanding of all digital media channels
    • Digital marketing that has a sales/transactional/ecommerce component
    • Managing digital media budget
    • Strategic analysis of digital media

    ROLE | WHAT’S YOUR PURPOSE?

    We’re an exceptionally hard working team, often having to wear 2, 3 or sometimes 4 hats in order to get our jobs done, and this role is no different. As the digital media analyst/manager, you will report to the marketing manager and in doing so own Yoco’s digital media behavior.

    Every team member has a role that they’re the champion of: You’ll be the champion of optimising our digital media, reporting, finding opportunities, and collaborating with other team members to unlock value that sits outside of your domain.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

    Key Responsibilities

    As the digital media analyst/manager you’ll be owning:

    • Devising the digital communication strategy for all digital media channels
    • Managing communication over all digital media channels
    • Analysing and reporting on communication over all digital media channels
    • Measuring and reporting on results to team, founders, company
    • Creating dashboard to help team members act on data
    • Managing 3rd party vendors / partners / agency supplying digital media services
    • Reduce CPA’s and CPC’s
    • Segmentation of everything
    • Split testing, run experiments, document outcomes and share with the team
    • Identify historical and seasonal trends, create plans to maximize these opportunities
    • Identify opportunities that present value to the organisation, in other words ideation that has strategic significance and achieves KPI’s
    • Problem solving
    • Ideas
    • Technically able to solve problems on your own - Hacking Zapier, POST variables, utm’s, URL parameters and platform API’s are familiar territory
    • Reporting to the Marketing Manager
    • Align digital media behaviour with our product road map
    • Lean in on design departments work to ensure designs are produced inline with lessons learned from media and structured in such a way that design choices can be tested
    • Influencing strategy of marketing
    • Analysis and segmentation of users and customers in various stages of marketing/sales funnel
    • Organising large amounts of data
    • Using tools like user feedback platforms (Hotjar), conversion rate optimisation tools, A/B test platforms, pivot tables and many more.

    Key Requirements To Perform Responsibilities

    • Learn and figure it out - you already know learning is ongoing in this role
    • Suitably certified - Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook Ads
    • 3-5 years experience in a similar role is key. We’re looking for people who not only know what they’re talking about, but also those that can see through the data and implement the insights accordingly.
    • A marketing or science qualification (degree or diploma)
    • Showcase strong numeracy, organisational and communication skills
    • Blue sky thinking, ideation tied strongly to strategy and analytics
    • Leadership (Big business impact, manage agencies, influence strategy)
    • Strong organisational skills
    • Track record of achievement in a similar role
