Job Description

• Our Client, a JSE listed and one of the most branded FMCG companies has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Operations professional to plan, organize and head and control the manufacturing, logistics, administration and sales activities to achieve the short and long term profitability and growth of the business.
• You will be responsible for leading a team of managers to implement the business strategy at bakery level as well as to achieve the profitability targets of the business. Formulation and implementation of the business strategy will include production plans, quality improvement plans, distribution plans, and sales plans. Your strong people leadership skills will be required to maintain sound industrial relations and facilitate shop floor development initiatives. Strategic thinking and financial ability will be put to the test when you design and implement the overall operating plan and budget for the bakery.
• A relevant Degree/National Diploma coupled with at least 7 to 10 years Manufacturing, Distribution and Sales management experience in a Bakery or FMCG manufacturing environment is required. A strong understanding of baking processes and the bakery environment will be very advantageous.
