Purpose of the job:
To manage the sales processes and teams required to grow the business through the successful selling of service and/or products that fit the client needs in a manner that reduces financial and operational risk and improve profitability.
Duties – Sales

Define, implement and manage sales delivery plans and targets.

Achieve budgets and profits;

Identify external and internal clients and their needs.

Present proposals to clients.

Monitor competitor activity.

Seek new business for the company.

Successfully close deals and handover to operations.

Build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with clients at multiple levels.

Structured weekly branch visits and reporting progress and sales problems

Manage monthly sales meeting
-
Manage sales admin operations - monitor weekly KPI reports – consolidate and submit monthly Sales Report on all sales activities.

Must have sound understanding of the sales process, including qualification of deals.

Ensure high standards of quality and service delivery to meet and exceed client expectations.

Understand financial and economic concepts and principles; to identify, create and/or exploit opportunities, and improve the viability of a business.

Understands where one’s own contribution and that of one’s own team fits into the value proposition and the objectives of the business.

Explore, identify, learn and implement new and creative ways to improve processes, products, services, practices, customer value, organisational effectiveness and culture.
Duties - Management:

Knowledge and understanding of the management and development of people, optimising their outputs and effectively manage relationships, in order to achieve organisational goals.

Train all direct reports on business processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Conduct Monthly Sales Appraisals providing constructive feedback and monitoring sales processes

Apply corrective and/or supportive action when required for a team member.

Plan and ensure completion of all sales employee training requirements.

The ability to inspire, motivate and direct individuals to take ownership of, and achieve desired outputs.

Manage and development of people, optimising their outputs and effectively manage relationships, in order to achieve organisational goals.

Deal with employee performance (effective and ineffective).

Motivate and coach employees
Qualifications Required
- Matric + Relevant degree, diploma or certificate
Skills and Experience Required
- 3 - 5 years Sales Management experience with proven track record.
- Must be able to travel extensively to the branches within the region when necessary and as required.
- Understanding of general business and operational concepts.
- Experience in all aspects of customer and staff relationship management.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- A certain level of technical knowledge is advantageous.
- Professional in all aspects.
- Very good interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong administration and people management skills and experience.
Other Requirements
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
- A high level of computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel and SAP.
