    Client Services Manager

    Job description

    We are looking for a South African client services manager who is responsible for account management of existing clients within South Africa and delighting the clients, and managing the team that supports the clients. This person is also the first escalation for all South African client queries.

    This role will have overall responsibility for:

    • Account management in South Africa
    • The development of account managers (plans, reviews, driving coaching where needed)
    • Identifying staffing needs and as required, recruit and maintain a team of account managers to service the region
    • Helping clients grow their business (rather than being reactionary) by offering additional standard products and unlocking business growth with existing clients
    • Maintaining a high level of performance by the account managers
    • Managing a team of 7 account managers
    • Client allocations to account managers and managing workload across team
    • Meeting with all existing clients on a regular basis throughout the region and becoming the client’s trusted adviser and identifying new opportunities for clients (and ensuring that all meetings are documented)
    • Client escalations in the region
    • Project managing and rolling out standard products in the region once the contract is signed
    • Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers of services that relate directly to clients. This may involve negotiating with suppliers on pricing (Card manufacturer, Terminal Suppliers, Courier etc)
    • The Standard Bank relationship in all aspects

    This person must:

    • Be able to quickly obtain in depth knowledge of the Tutuka standard products and be an expert on all aspects of this
    • Understand the revenue generated from clients and the transactional growth of clients

    This is not a position for someone who likes being told what to do and constantly monitored and managed. You must be looking for the challenge of implementing your own ideas and coming up with new ways of doing things.

    This is not for someone who is reactive. You must enjoy getting things done on your own in a proactive manner, rather than being told what to do. You must want to make things happen.

    This is not a position for someone who won’t go above and beyond for their clients. You must enjoy doing anything and everything for your client in a efficient and professional manner
