    Operations Administrator

    Job description

    Job Introduction

    As an ALE Operations Administrator you will be responsible for coordinating transportation related activities under supervision, within the operations department. Your role will be key in ensuring that all purchasing, training and general transport records are kept up to date along with various other operational administrative requirements. If you are looking for a varied role and relish a challenge in a dynamic environment, this could be the role for you.

    Role Responsibility

    • Dealing with drivers, operational and on-site personnel
    • Assisting with purchase orders to support the operations team.
    • Liaising with sub-contractors to collect outstanding proof of delivery documentation
    • Liaising with clients with regard to purchase orders and checking of invoices
    • General administrative duties to support the wider team
    • Monitoring/reporting on fuel consumption across the entire fleet
    • Data capturing within the operations functionality such as fuel usage figures and stock control of tyres

    The Ideal Candidate

    Essential

    QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Good Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word abilities – able to produce documents and spreadsheets

    EXPERIENCE

    • 2-3 Years relevant experience working as a data capturer/administrator within a transport/logistics environment
    • Administrative background

    Essential

    SKILLS

    • Strong Excel Skills
    • Strong analytical and numeracy skills
    • High attention to detail
    • Be fully conversant in English
