    Print Production Manager

    Job description

    Organize and maintain the client’s artwork through the print production process to improve cycle time, quality, and economics. Effectively utilizes and supports the client’s print quality program, provides print solutions that are technically feasible and innovative, and establishes competency of printer’s capability. Must act as key interface and ensure effective communications among various supply chain partners including printers, Design Studios, internal clients.

    • Responsible for organising and maintaining the client’s artwork through the print production process to improve cycle time, quality, and economics.
    • Utilise and support the client’s print quality program, provides print solutions that are technically feasible and innovative, and establish competency of printer’s capability.
    • Be the key interface and ensure effective communication among various supply chain partners including printers, design studios & internal clients.
    • Serves as the main day-to-day contact on current projects for clients at different sites; suppliers, external partners, and our internal Client Growth team to provide timely responses to all inquires (e.g. within one (1) business day).
    • Attends client meetings as needed; works collaboratively with the client’s initiative managers and artwork planners on activities to meet timings based on overall project schedules.
    • Ensures high quality standards in all client deliverables ensuring First Moment of Truth is achieved on all packaging reproduced by the BVE.
    • Proactively leads option analyses and works with printers to reduce risk of printing issues for new designs.
    • Effectively utilises and supports the client’s print quality program, artwork process and colour simplification strategy.
    • Acts as key link to colour separation firm to enable timely delivery of accurate of artwork colour separations and print tools.
    • Conducts print feasibility assessments to establish the printer’s capability to meet design intent for all pieces of art.
    • Confirms print feasibility assessment via post press analysis of first production.
    • Recommends options to reduce rework and costs associated with the client’s pre-press / print supply chains.
    • Leads resolution of technical issues with "designs" between design firm and printer(s).
    • Manages post-production issues with PQM’s, printers & Marketing Project Leaders.

    Qualifications / Requirements Qualifications / Requirements

    • Degree or Diploma holder with at least 2 years of printing industry experience and/or pre-media services.
    • Hands-on experience and expertise in various packaging printing technologies such as Gravure, Flexo, Litho, etc.
    • Good understanding of effective Pre-media and Print Production processes, roles, tools (digital and conventional) and workflow practices and trends.
    • Good understanding of Pre-press, Print production, and/or Graphic Design techniques and processes.
    • Good people, organizational, and analytical skills (including attention to detail).
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient Computer Software (SW) Skills:
      • Apple Mac equipment and operating systems
      • Overall Business SW (e.g. MS-Office Suite)
      • Specific Functional SW (e.g. Abode Design Suite, Acrobat plus, Project Management Software; Agile; or others; etc.)
    • Ability to develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with peers and colleagues in one or more areas of the organization.
    • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal clients and/or external clients (e.g. printers, product manufacturers, service providers, and/or clients).
    • Ability to work well in a team environment, with a limited degree of supervision, to handle a heavy workload, to prioritize work, and to meet assigned deadlines.
    • Ability to translate client requests into technical instructions for print production.
    • Willing to travel as and when required for printer audit
    • Preferably with valid working visa in Singapore whereby company sponsorship of visa is not necessary
