French-Speaking Senior MICE Manager at SATravellers

Job description

We are currently looking for a Senior MICE Manager tjoin our vibrant and talented sales team.

The candidate will drive the business development of the MICE (group and incentive) operations.

Tasks will include:

• Full responsibility for the existing group portfolio including motorbike, photographic and camping tours;
• Management of new RFP for groups and incentive;
• Develop new business generation through trade fairs and networking;
• Design itineraries, negotiate with accommodation partners, handle & confirm bookings;
• Train & manage trainees and participate tthe recruitment of an employee;
• Scope limited tFrench-speaking groups travelling in South Africa

Experience required

At least 5 years of experience in a similar position; 


Skills required

• Good command of English (spoken and written); 

• Fluent in French (spoken and written); 

• Excellent knowledge of South Africa & the main tourist areas & attractions; 

• Knowledge of Namibia, Mozambique, Swaziland is a plus; 

• Passionate about travel & Africa; 

• Strong inter-personal & communication skills;
• Strong negotiation skills;

• Good understanding of numbers & negotiation skills; 

• Strong new business development skills;
• Customer oriented;
• Strong commercial awareness;
• Strong time management skills;
• Autonomous;
• Flexible, open-minded, dynamic, pro-active;
• IT skills (knowledge of word & excel, tourplan is a plus). 


Position is based in our offices in the city centre of Cape Town (South Africa).

Full-time local contract will be offered

Remuneration: Market-related fixed salary + attractive bonus package.
