Junior Investment Specialist at NMG Benefits

Job description

Purpose of the Job:

The purpose of the job is to assist with the ongoing investment servicing of the NMG client base and to assist in selling the NMG investment range into the NMG client base as well as other external clients.

Key Performance Objectives

• Assisting with and adhering to the client investment takeon process: Completing investment application forms, obtaining client investment codes, liaising with NMG investment administration/ Investment Manager, monitoring and reporting on progress of takeons
• Updating Technical Marketing documentation (Investments brochures, Fee disclosure documents, Investment presentations) on a monthly basis
• Distribution of Financial Markets literature (Daily, Monthly Financial Indicators) to internal NMG consultants, external broker consultants and direct clients invested with NMG
• Maintaining the client investments distribution list on an ongoing basis
• Maintenance and distribution of fund fact sheets to all stakeholders on a monthly basis
• Assisting with ad-hoc Asset Liability Modelling (ALM) and Net Replacement Ratio (NRR) exercises
• Attending career development training where required (MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, Presentation Skills, Investment Seminars)
• Providing technical investment support to the Employee benefits consultants
• Preparing investment analysis proposal documents, new business client presentations and investment report back presentations for institutional retirement funds
• Attending and minuting Joint investment committee meetings

Education Requirements

• Essential Qualifications: University Degree in Finance, Investment Management, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Business Management or an appropriate Degree at NQF level 6; FAIS related qualification and accreditation
• Certifications: FAIS related accreditation RE5

Minimum Experience Level

4 Year’s investment related experience
