    Trade Marketer (Luxury Brands)

Working collaboratively with sales, marketing and other functional teams, you will constantly stretch your influencing skills to positively engage with decision makers to develop and maintain exceptional operational and execution standards. Your excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills would ensure this is done with professionalism, insight and finesse.

    Our Trade Marketer would take responsibility for the full spectrum of trade marketing initiatives, including developing and executing trade marketing and activation strategies to achieve best practice in category management, point of sale and promotional merchandising standards across brands and sales channels on time and on budget.

    • Very strong strategic and analytical thinker with proven capabilities of in-depth data analysis (Nielsen/IRI/Retail link)
    • Solid financial accountability skills (ROI, P&L, Budget Management)
    • Very strong planning and business management skills with the ability to develop joint business plans and penetrate the customer up to the highest ranks
    • Successful candidates must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel on the job.
    • Responsibilities
    • Centrally manage all trade marketing processes across brands and channels ensuring alignment with brand and channel plans, both local and global.
    • Develop and implement short, mid and long range trade marketing strategic plans in line with the marketing and commercial objectives of the business both local and global.
    • Leverage/identify key account and channel insights in the development and communication of trade strategy and activation plans.
    • Play a leading role in the development and execution of POS strategy in conjunction with brand managers and sales teams and develop merchandising and POS solutions and tools.
    • Develop and execute promotional activities, including gift with purchase, consumer promotions and in-store theatre liaising closely with the Field Sales Manager.
    • Manage all trade marketing aspects relating to product stand assets and coordinate the sourcing, roll-out and installation of product stands and shelving in line with local and global requirements.
    • Centrally coordinate the development and updating of planograms in line with local and global requirements.
    • Manage and track key brand group activity at the trade level to ensure achievement of plans and/or to identify potential gaps.
    • Provide brand managers with a marketplace view of customer activity and communicate brand strategies to the field.
    • Manage the trade marketing expenditure against budget and monitor and report on trade marketing investments and initiatives.
    • Manage third party suppliers in line with company objectives and policy.
    • Manage and monitor inventory levels and procurement costs with preferred suppliers for all merchandising and POS material.
    • Ensure stock inventory of required POS material is maintained to the required levels.
    • Work with the brand managers and field sales team to implement training and communication programs across channels.
    • Work closely with the retail & marketing team to ensure that trade marketing strategies are aligned with marketing objectives and sales revenue targets
    • Report sales needs and field intelligence to commercial / marketing teams
    • Analyse brand sell through results by channel and make recommendations to increase results
    • Manage budget and ROI for Trade Marketing activities

    Requirements

    • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
    • At least 3 years’ exposure to a range of areas including trade marketing, category management, marketing and retail marketing, ideally within the Cosmetic/FMCG industry.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in building clear, compelling value propositions that can be expressed in a variety of media.
    • Excellent Numerical and Data Analysis skills.
    • Proficient MS Office.
    • Fluency in English
