    Sales Representative

    Job description

    We have an opportunity for Sales Representative experienced in selling Technical Maintenance Service Contracts to join our Service team in Isando.

    As a Sales Representative you’ll grow and promote the sale of our technical service/maintenance, retrofit projects and preventative maintenance agreements focusing on our YORK chillers and YORK installed base by ‘cold calling’ and creating opportunities to present our service offering to new and current customers in the Installed base.

    To apply and be considered for this role you must have a proven track record of sales in a front line position, selling service/maintenance contracts direct to business customers. It would be a distinct advantage if you have an existing customer network and knowledge of the HVAC industry.

    Building Technologies & Solutions, a division of Johnson Controls, is a leading provider of building technology, products and solutions, including controls, equipment and services for HVAC, security, fire and refrigeration.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Service sales position for Johnson Controls Service focusing on YORK chillers and the YORK installed base.
    • Responsible for the sale of Johnson Controls Aftermarket Services to end users and facility managers.
    • Able to ‘cold call’ and create opportunities to present the service offering
    • Builds and manages long-term customer relationships/partnerships and responsible for customer satisfaction through executing the sales process.
    • Needs to be proactive by finding opportunities and actively chasing them
    • Creates competitive, high quality and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost/benefit analysis.
    • Negotiates terms & conditions and ensures that Johnson Controls’ financial standards are fully adhered to.
    • Keeps manager informed of changes in the marketplace and progress on customer status.
    • Develops a network within an Account/Customer site of contacts to promote Johnson Controls products and services with a specific view of closing deals and growing the ‘share of wallet’.

    • You must have a proven track record of direct customer sales and delivering against set revenue targets.
    • Your application must demonstrate
    • Five years of active experience in a front line sales position, direct customer selling
    • Sales experience in the HVAC environment, knowledge and technical understanding is preferred
    • Proven ability to develop & execute sales activities for both new and existing customers
    • Ability to listen, probe and identifies the customer need. Develops an understanding for the customer’s business and speaks their language
    • Maintains accurate records and call sheet data
    • Tireless, results driven, strong sales drive and a hunter mentality
    • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
    • Professional proficiency of English language is essential
    • Ability to demonstrate good market expertise to develop credibility, loyalty, trust & commitment
    • Able to interact in a team environment and work independently to achieve goals
