    Production/Line Manager

    Job description

    Leadership Responsibilities

    • To Train and coach need incumbents as and when needed with on the Job Training .
    • Lead Perfect plant implementation and sustainability
    • Champion Root cause sessions
    • Lead and Coach 5s and Process confirmations
    • Support Asset care regimes
    • Deliver “ My Manager Commitments ”
    • Champion team PDR and P4G tracking
    • Deliver with positive intent training and development of team members

    Purpose of role

    To deliver, through management of processes and assets, quality product for distribution to the consumer according to business requirements, and, in so doing, to achieve or exceed the Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale (QCDSM) targets dictated by the business.

    Top Accountabilities

    • Meet site production programme, including QCDSM targets, and ensure adherence to policy and procedures.
    • Ensure alignment of situational, systemic and strategic activities through formal Level 2 and Level 1 TIP reviews
    • Participate in teams according to principles of the Diageo Policy, Values and the Perfect Plant WCM program, providing support .

    Define and implement departmental strategy, aligned to Perfect Plant WCM practices, using the following tools to meet improvement targets:

    • Asset Care
    • 5 S System
    • Quality management System
    • Continuous Improvement Teamwork
    • Preventative planned Maintenance Systems
    • Assist in Plan production to optimise productivity and build strategic stocks to ensure supply through peak periods.
    • Health and Safety Champion

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    • It would be a benefit if the candidates have a minimum qualification of a B- Degree
    • Strong general operational and coaching skills.
    • Detailed knowledge of packaging processes and in touch with developments in Manufacturing Best Practice.
    • Principles and application of Perfect Plant tools

    Detailed knowledge of:

    • Standard Operating Procedures
    • Completing with integrity all relevant documents in line with LTO requirements.
    • EISC module
    • Health and Safety module
    • Quality System Awareness’ module
    • Bottling and Hygiene module
    • Basic Maintenance Practices Module
    • Introduction to Electronics Module
