Key Responsibility Areas:

• Identifies and defines the immediate, short- and medium-term objectives or plans associated with the management of the interface between Ward Committees and the Council's decision-making process.
• Directs and controls outcomes associated with the utilisation, productivity and performance of personnel.
• Implements financial controls/procedures in relation to financial provisioning and contributes to the capital and operating expenditure estimation processes.
• Upholds health and safety standards.
• Manages the provision of a secretariat service to Council and its Committees and the City Manager.
• Disseminates information as required to ensure that Council management and stakeholders are kept properly informed.
• Manages the procedural administrative and reporting requirements/deadlines associated with the functionality.

Essential Experience

• 4 Years relevant experience in a local government environment. 
• Computer Literacy. 

Preferred Experience 

• 6 Years relevant experience. 

Essential Qualifications

• Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, i.e. National Diploma or Degree.
•  Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code B). 

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant post graduate qualification.
