The Role

PRIMARY POSITION PURPOSE

We are an agile development team in a well-established engineering consulting firm looking for a Software Developer responsible for designing and developing software applications as well as coordinating with the rest of the team on different layers of infrastructure. We as a team deliver our own software projects, provide supporting tools to internal projects, and work in close collaboration with our innovation team to continuously improve the way or company does business.

REPORTS TO

Section Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• With a minimum of 5 years’ experience, you will play a key role in:
• Translating application storyboards and using cases into functional applications
• Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code
• Ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devising solutions to these problems

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Skill for writing reusable C# libraries
• Knack for writing clean, readable C# code
• Familiarity with design patterns
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2008, R2 and above
• Ability to write stored procedures, database views, functions, triggers

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Application should have qualifications similar to a National Diploma in Information Technology(Development) and a B-Tech in Information Technology or higher
• Candidates without formal qualifications will need to convince us by means of solutions implemented or a portfolio
• 5 years + working experience
• Xamarin Mobile C# Framework
• SQLLite ORM
• HTML5/CSS
• DevExpress Control Toolkit
• ThinkGeo or Leaflet GIS Mapping Components
• Web Services
