Terminal Manager - Bethlehem Depot at Engen

Job description

Key Purpose

To manage the Bethlehem Depot in a cost-effective, safe environment in support of Engen's marketing objectives and optimisation of profit opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Receipt, Storage, Handling and distribution of products.
•  Staff management.
•  Management of 3rd party contractual agreements.
•  Asset Management
•  Joint facility Host
•  Cost centre management
•  Interface/relationship management

Specific Outcomes

• Receipt, Storage and handling is done according to prescribed specifications and standards.
•  Distribute product to customers within agreed SLA’s.
•  Trained,motivated and productive staff.
•  Committed,competent and focused workforce.
•  Terminal operations comply with 3rd party agreements, where applicable.
•  Maximised utilisation of systems and equipment.
•  Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
•  Joint industry facilities managed
•  JFC meetings hosted
• Expenditure in line with budget or better
•  Internal:
• Organisation working as designed.
•  External:
•  Sound business relationships with other oil companies and key stakeholders.
•  Suppliers providing the agreed level of service.

Education & Experience

• Matric or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the management of Marine and Depot Operations

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of major company-operated coastal bulk fuels operations
• Detailed knowledge of OHSE Act, labour legislation and everything refered to under the range
• Working knowledge of transport operations
• Working knowledge of contract management principles
• Basic knowledge of engineering design, components and equipment relating to depot operations
• Working knowledge of costing principles, planning and budget control
• An understanding of outbound logistics
• Knowledge of the petroleum industry
