As an Open Text consultant you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and you will be recognized as a subject matter expert within the Enterprise Information Management space. You will be supported with training on our solutions, the ability to receive relevant certifications and opportunities for advancement. Our experts also frequently have the opportunity to take part in international assignments. From supporting your customer with the implementation of systems and optimization of our products, to conducting workshops on best practices, you will be travelling to different sites and there are never two days that look the same.

The Opportunity

The Senior Consultant role is responsible for senior level performance within all areas of OpenText Professional Services, product and solution delivery. The role is typically aimed at experienced Senior Consultants who have a proven track record in implementing Enterprise Content Management solutions. Most of the work activities for a Senior Consultant will be performed on the customer premises with support from Senior Solutions Architects and under the management of Project Managers. This role will report into the Professional Services Practice Lead and will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Our expectation is that Senior Consultants will join with very good technology skills and have the ability to immediately add value in the solution delivery with OpenText ECM specific technologies.

You Are Great At

• Developing in Java and/or .Net technologies
• Developing in HTML, XML, XSLT and JavaScript, SQL Server and/or Oracle
• Implementing content Management (ECM) applications and Business Process Management (BPM) applications
• Setting up OpenText Documentum Product
• Setting up Captiva Product, familiarity with Virtualization software
• Working with OpenText Document Sciences Product

What It Takes

• 5-8 year's relevant experience
• Professional appearance & approach and demonstrates positive attitude
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Solid experienced IT skill set
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Willingness to travel (sometimes internationally), at times up to 5 days per week, depending on the engagement
• Ability to accept guidance and direct management, ability to work under own initiative
• Ability to learn and follow OpenText methodology and standard operating procedures
• Great work ethic with a commitment to do what it takes to meet client requirements
