    Marketing Manager (SA)

    Job description

    Grow with us as a Marketing Manager who understands innovation needs. You will drive growth by leading the idea generation process while undertaking consumer research and leading co-ordination and marketing mix development with the Technical team.     WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

    To be part of our success as a Marketing Manager, you will:

    • Prepare and agree the annual volume and investment strategy for the brand portfolio managed. On an ongoing basis, monitor and review this strategy to ensure performance vs objectives.
    • Consulting with area, define and brilliantly execute the calendar of business building activity for the brand portfolio locally, in order to deliver the annual country strategy.
    • Work Closely with Area team/Country marketing services to ensure Asia/SA communications and promotions on global and regional brand portfolio are created or adapted appropriately for the local market.
    • Align the brand portfolio media strategy with the Marketing Director to support the Media Planning process to ensure the company makes efficient use of investment through a variety of communication channels.
    • Work with the PDM’s with their preparation and execution of Innovation launch plans in market as approved by the Area.
    • Manage the brand analysis as requested by the Area as part of the annual planning cycle.
    • Work closely with trade marketing and sales in local market to ensure effective execution of actions at point of sale.
    • Continuously monitor brand performance and competitor activity, proactively reacting to changes and threats, provide estimations and forecasting about volume and share.
    • Manage the day-to-day business processes for the brand to ensure effective business management (e.g. budget management, IBP process, Category review process, etc.)
    • Respond to information requests from Area Marketing as required.
    • Supervises and coaches, ensuring clear direction and growth for direct reports.

    Required

    As well as a hunger to succeed and grow as a Marketing Manager, you must be able to meet the following:

    • Educated to degree level / business school graduate, or equivalent, with Marketing major preferred
    • Demonstrated 4 plus years’ classic blue chip FMCG marketing experience.
    • Strong influencing skills are required to drive internal alignment, e.g. with Finance, Sales, Supply Chain
    • Excellent team interaction skills
    • Experience in Global companies in Marketing with strong process knowledge

    Preferred

    • Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing
    • Project Management skills and ability to prioritize
    • Strong sense of ownership and pride to drive execution
    • Team and Partner Management skills
    • Strong Microsoft office skills
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Forecasting and Learning
