Content Editor

Job description

We are looking for an editor with experience in the Mining industry to source, write and edit content for Africa’s leading mining sector partner – Mining Review Africa.

Requirements:
- 2-3 years writing experience in the mining industry
- A journalism degree would be an advantage
- Digital experience would also be advantageous
- Experience in speaking to people from a variety of backgrounds
- Commercial knowledge and understanding
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and identifying content (research, interviews, etc)
- Writing original content for the magazine
- Focus on projects and service providers in Africa
- Attend mining functions and events
- Provide secondary online support
Competencies:
- Deadline driven
- High attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
Other:
- Own transport (will be required to travel locally)
- Valid passport with ability and willingness to travel internationally occassionaly
