    Temporary Research Intern: Social Sciences (Ref. TGB12/178/0517)

    Job description
    Job Requirements

    • An honours degree/postgraduate diploma in social science with a strong research grounding.
    • Experience in the operational procedures of the DTTC Social Science team or equivalent.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • The ability to speak, read and write English.
    • The ability to work independently as well as within a project-team environment.
    • A goal-oriented disposition and the skills to solve problems independently and effectively.
    • Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

    Requirements

    • A valid driving licence.
    • Experience of conducting research in South Africa or knowledge of social-science research on HIV and the HIV civil-society landscape in the Western Cape.
    • Demonstrated ability to report on social science data in academic fora (e.g. conferences).
