Purpose of the role:

Business analysis for our leading-edge Fintech programmes in South Africa

The Business Analyst supports programme management in South Africa in achieving its business objectives, by working closely with the client and Vix project teams to capture and translate customer requirements into business, technical and system specifications, suitable for implementation by project and operational teams.

As part of our global E-PMO team, leading big disruptive payment programmes, you will be given the chance to become an expert in the products, services and solutions offered by Vix, to allow translation of client requirements into clearly defined deliverables which are clearly understood by the Vix EMEA teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements management

• Translate business process management and business requirements into technical requirements through interviews, document review, requirements workshops, surveys and teleconferences
• Develop and document solution requirements and document, analyse and evaluate the information gathered
• Support the design and implementation of solutions that meet customer requirements ensuring business requirements are aligned with Vix EMEA’s solutions, capability and OneVix Strategy
• Promote and maintain awareness and compliance of relevant Work, Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures in accordance with current best practice and legal requirement.
• Anticipate Vix business needs and identify key stakeholders that will be impacted by a proposed initiative or business requirement, and conduct stakeholder analysis.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Exposure to the rail industry, transport or airlines ticketing is mandatory (one of these)
• Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in either a Technical Analyst or Business Analyst role
• Education and Qualifications (desirable, not mandatory) - Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering (or other related discipline)
