    Senior Manager : Learnership Management

    Job description

    Requirement Overview

    To develop a learnership vision for the organisation as one of the cornerstones of the organisations people strategy. Responsible for designing and implementing strategic organisational development and learnership interventions for the enhancement and improvement of the AGSA’s talent pipeline.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Strategic support and management
      • Develop a comprehensive TA Strategy Leadership Curriculum for the organisation.
      • Co-design and oversee the development and provide blended learning and development programmes and interventions that equip, empower and capacitate AGSA learning material (learner and facilitator guides), multimedia visual aids, and other educational material, with AGSA branding .
      • Analysis and interpretation of management information to identify risks and develop solutions
      • Monitor compliance with requirements of the professional bodies
      • Provide input to graduate/trainee auditor development training plan
      • Provide input to the business plan and budget of POE
      • Provide strategic and innovative direction to staff in POE regarding the implementation of the business plan
      • Oversee the activities directly related to the coordination and management of graduate development
      • Manage implementation of the Balanced Score Card projects and initiatives of the business unit
      • Oversee the design and implementation of administrative system to ensure the effective delivery
      • Research on learnership matters, study support and other opportunities
      • Monitor the performance of the business units in accordance with the professional body requirements
      • Manage the recruitment of trainee auditors including marketing and promotion, bursaries and scholarship
      • Stakeholder liaison
      • Build strong, collaborative relationships with all the feeder tertiary institutions and recognised professional bodies and tertiary institutions.
      • Proactively build the AGSA brand to all external stakeholders.
      • Build strong relationships with the targeted candidates in our pipeline.
      • Facilitate additional support (motivational/study) to prospective TA’s.
      • Coordinate the interaction between stakeholders in respect of graduate development matters. Identify the relevant internal and external role players in accordance with business requirements and dependencies.
      • Partner closely with other senior learning partners within the POE to ensure that leadership programs are functioning optimally
      • Manage relationships to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
      • Advise executive management on development strategies.
      • Build a network and database of high calibre vendors/ service providers.
      • Financial Management
      • Oversee the compilation of the budget indicating the financial requirements in accordance with the budgeting guidelines
      • Manage the monitoring expenditure against the budget to ensure that spending occurs within the budgetary restrictions.
      • Ensure that any overspending is authorised in accordance with the guidelines.
      • Consult the relevant role players where overspending took place and take corrective actions to rectify the overspending
    • People Management
      • Monitor that all staff are trained, skilled and that their expertise is optimally applied.
      • Contribute to ensure that the working environment improves staff morale and increase productivity.
      • Measure the impact and ROI of all employee development initiatives. Secure the human resource requirements to ensure that deliverables will be met in accordance with the expected targets.
      • Manage staff performance to implement a culture of performance Management;
      • Compile IPC’s and PDP’s
      • Conduct coaching sessions to ensure subordinate performs at the optimum level
      • Provide constant feedback to subordinate
      • Provide mentorship to subordinate
      • Conduct performance reviews in accordance with policies and procedures and take corrective action where necessary
      • Manage the development of staff and ensure each staff member has a Personal Development Plan.
    • Process Management
      • Manage the mapping and implementation of all key business processes, quality controls and standard operating procedures within the centre.
      • Ensure compliance to all AGSA policies and procedures at all times.
    • Ad-hoc duties
    • Perform and/or manage other projects, tasks and assignments not stipulated on the Job description as and when required

    Skills, Experience & Education

    • Formal Education
    • Relevant Honours degree
    • A Master’s Degree would be an advantage
    • CA (SA), RGA or ACCA
    • Technical/professional Certification
    • Registered SAICA assessor

    Knowledge

    • In-depth knowledge of organisation culture and of the leadership role in culture building, embedding and evolving
    • Sound Knowledge of strong verbal & written communication, group facilitation skills and project management skills.
    • Knowledge of managing a leanership
    • Knowledge of the SAIGA, SAICA and ACCA professional leanership requirements and applicable regulations
    • Stakeholder management

    Experience

    • 5+ years Talent Development experience, specifically large-scale curriculum design, development and implementation preferably in a professional services organization.
    • 3- 5 years of experience managing people and leading teams
