    Assoc Sales Operations Spec

    ZAF - Western Cape, Cape Town

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Key Elements Of The Job)

    • Input and process customer orders into CRM system (Sales Force)
    • Analyze all data on customer’s purchase orders prior to input and submission to ensure accuracy on key information in order to align with Symantec’s purchase order requirements.
    • Responding professionally, quickly and efficiently to problem order queries and order processing requests from staff and external customers either through phone, email or letter.
    • Liaison between Sales, Credit & Collections Processing team and Order Fulfilment team to drive sales opportunities to closure.
    • Identifies internal roadblocks, provide solutions and alternatives, communicate next steps, escalate where needed.
    • Tracks process metrics and status reporting. Help with pulling out reports of SFDC when needed.
    • Takes exclusive ownership for satisfying internal requirements and approval structures put in place by the board of directors.
    • Maintains basic working knowledge of products and organizational structure. Participate in trainings and QBRs to understand the business, the team’s need and ways of improvement.
    • Manage the review of pending order reports to ensure timely release and booking
    • Be a team player: discharge actions in a timely manner and follow up others as appropriate; keep others informed of all matters affecting the deals. Engage different internal teams where necessary and follow up with action items.
    • Ensure high levels of service to sales teams through prompt and courteous communication of open and closed orders.
    • Supports other Sales Operations objectives as needed.
    • Monthly ONG and PAYGO Channel Entries in SOD (Siebel on Demand)
    • Upload Agreements to SymArt (Sales Force)
    • Manage Manual Activities: Assist with cancellations, Invoices, Credit Memo’s.
    • Carry out other ad-hoc duties specified by your immediate supervisor
    • Customer account creations in SFDC.
    • Assist with Black Hole report management
    • Assist with vendor forms completion
    • Provide coverage to the global sales ops team for order processing when necessary

    JOB COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills And Experience)

    • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
    • Language skills: Fluency in English is a must, spoken and written.
    • Admin orientated and attention to detail, good time management and planning skills (can prioritize effectively).
    • A high level of energy, self-motivation, competitiveness, and a desire to positively impact the business.
    • Experience in the Order Entry/Sales environment is preferred
    • Ability to work well with cross functional teams and influence as well as build relationships with these teams.
    • Experience with Salesforce and/or other CRM tools is preferred
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • A proven ability to learn quickly.
