Introduction

GIBB’s Roads and Highways Services Sector provides a comprehensive range of services that include traditional consulting services (design, procurement and contract supervision), Public Private Partnership (PPP) solutions and asset management services. This includes high capacity freeways, interchanges and bridges, airport pavements, rural roads (including low volume and haul roads) and municipal infrastructure. The team is supported by transportation and traffic engineers, geotechnical and material engineers and other specialists.

About This Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to the increase number of projects and act as the contractual Engineer in the construction phase of projects, and assist in mentorship and succession planning.

Key Performance Areas

• The design and project management of road projects
• Act as the contractual Engineer for the construction phases of projects
• Fulfills the role of Design Review Engineer
• The compilation of design reports and project documents are required.
• Train and mentor junior employees
• Client contact as Technical specialist
• Prepare and present technical papers internally and externally

Requirements

• BSc / BEng degree: Civil Engineering
• Must be Professionally Registered
• 10 years of experience in the design and project management of road projects after qualification
• Geometric design experience be advantageous
