Cathay Pacific Airways in South Africa are recruiting for an Assistant People Manager (HR)

If you consider yourself to be a business partner, and a strategic thinker who is able to create overall business alignment on organisational structure, people direction and optimisation to enable and inspire our people to excel in everything they do while supporting compliance with local legislation and global policy, then this is the role for you.

Qualifications / Experience

• At least 3 years experience in Human Resource Management or a similar role
• An associated tertiary qualification or a related business discipline is an advantage
• Working knowledge and application of all regulatory and local legal requirements relating to people management practices
• Practical experience in leading a dedicated and high performing team
• Proven success in leadership, motivation, people management and development, mentoring and team building skills
• Experience in implementing and/or leading change management initiatives
• Experience in people management practices and models for example MBTI, business partnering, performance management
• Demonstrable experience in successful relationship building
• Experience in translating business needs to formulate people policies
• Consistently communicates clearly and honestly
• IT literate and fully conversant in the use of Microsoft applications; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer
