Actuarial Analyst at TAL

Job description

We are excited to have established a brand new team in Cape Town and we’re looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join us.

As an Actuarial Analyst at TAL you will assist in the development and maintenance of TAL’s Individual Life products, working closely with other parts of the business in the pricing and development of products and the provision of insights into product and business unit performance.

To be successful in your application we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a similar actuarial position with a strong analytical and modelling focus
• A comprehensive understanding of the life insurance industry including any new approaches or practices being introduced
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively to deal with technical challenges
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with overseas colleagues
• Ability to communicate effectively with less technical stakeholders
• Experience with Prophet, SQL and SAS
• Relevant tertiary degree and commencement of ASSA qualification
