    Marketing Director - Digital

     

    Job Description

    Principle Responsibilities / Key Results Area

    • Digital & Social Media Marketing Planning
    • Develop integrated digital, mobile, social media programs based on Visa marketing needs
    • Drive implementation of the SSA digital marketing focus across all communications and platforms, content management for all Visa digital assets
    • Drive digital innovation through implementing all new digital, social, mobile platforms, applications, media and trends into Visa’s marketing efforts and position Visa as a digital leader in marketing in SSA
    • Handling all financial planning and administrative requirements for setting up digital campaigns
    • Leadership & Project Management
    • Work together with key stakeholders to define and implement digital and social media programs and communication plans in SSA that truly supports business goals
    • Manage the content selection and publication process
    • Manage social media strategy and execution in line with country marketing or product manager’s objectives
    • Manage web development and web hosting agencies, end to end including integration, billing and statement of work development
    • Work collaboratively with the business to prepare detailed briefs for new web pages, websites, microsites, projects and advise on the most cost effective efficient options
    • Develop and manage Visa mobile platforms
    • Provide business owners with cost/effort guidance against project estimates
    • Develop Visa’s consumer email communication program
    • Actively manage Visa’s client communication program
    • Liaise with Visa’s agency partners to ensure quality delivery of work in a timely manner
    • Implement innovative ideas within the SSA market
    • Implement the digital measurement framework
    • Make the best use of marketing platforms and partners
    • Implement learnings from past campaigns from across CEMEA to drive stronger results

    Education

    • Help disseminate knowledge and guidelines from the CEMEA digital center of excellence down to the local teams
    • Update SSA Marketing team with best practices, case studies and benchmarks in digital, social media and mobile
    • Establish digital training programs for SSA Marketing team and agencies to drive ongoing growth of knowledge of digital marketing.
    • Constantly develop knowledge in the digital domain to best support Visa’s leading status in the digital domain
    • Collaboration
    • Develop effective internal stakeholder relationships across the SSA Marketing team, the broader SSA business & product teams, as well as the CEMEA hub teams, to better manage geography and cross functional projects
    • Monitoring
    • Measure and analyze web analytics data to make recommendations for optimization of site content
    • Ensure policy, style, guideline standards are met and develop and manage monthly reviews of all content to maintain its relevance
    • Manage timelines and coordinate support resources from the development host agency for deliverables
    • Establish and track KPI metrics for digital marketing activity performance evaluation

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Track and manager monthly and annual web, mobile digital marketing and social media KPIs and budgets
    • Manage all digital web, mobile social media platforms ensuring consistency, information accuracy and efficiency
    • Ensure cost efficiency of all digital projects
    • Execution of scheduled number of training programs and regular updates
    • Completion of scheduled number of projects across business units and geographies as indicated in marketing plans
    • Web analytics reports
    • Monthly reports for digital projects, content plan reports weekly –
    • Monthly, Social Media, Newsletter, Mobile SitesQualifications

    Qualification

    Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, web design or related field

    As above

    • Basic operational as well as business understanding of payment /cards business and or online payment industry
    • Expert knowledge in marketing, digital marketing, web, social media, mobile, performance management
    • Demonstrated ability in SEO and SEO marketing
    • Proven track record managing agency partners and third party technical vendors and developing and managing mid to large scale website platforms
    • Excellent business English skills, written and spoken

    • Previous experience in online business and digital marketing / web management
    • Experience of business / marketing strategy and plan development and management of its implementation in a matrix environment
    • Ability to travel as required
