• Consolidate the requirements of the city in alignment to the IDP and prepare the capital budget. 
• Manage the administrative preparation of the monthly capital comparative statement. 
• Grant Management and Assessment of estimated Project Cost form line department. 
• Provide input through the budget process to grow cash reverses and develop a strategy for disaster financial planning. 
• Improve current accounting processes and audit outcomes of the city. 
• Provide input with strategic alignment, forward planning, defining strategic and functional objectives of the function’s intent and deliverables. 
• Control outcomes associated with the utilization and performance of personnel with the function. 
• Disseminates functional and operational information on the immediate, short and long-term objectives and current applications and constraints.

Qualifications

Essentail Experience

• 6 Years relevant experience of which 3 years must be at a management level
• Preferred Experience 7 years relevant experience of which 4 years must be at a management level.

Essential Qualifications

• Must be in possession of National Treasury MFMA minimum competency qualification (NQF Level 6) OR
• Must obtain a National Treasury MFMA minimum competency qualification (NQF Level 6) within 18 months of date of appointment.,
• Tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7) in Accounting or equivalent with Financial Accounting as a major subject., Valid motor vehicle driving license. Preferred Qualifications Tertiary qualification (NQF Level 8) in Accounting or equivalent with Financial Accounting as a major subject.
